Porcelain Crowns
A dental crown, also known as a cap, covers the entire visible portion of a tooth, unlike fillings which only cover a small portion. It acts as a new outer surface for the tooth. Crowns are used when a tooth is extensively broken or decayed and fillings are not sufficient for repair. They provide a protective shell around the damaged tooth, strengthening it and improving its appearance. Crowns are commonly used for broken teeth and can restore the tooth to its original shape. While crowns can be made from different materials, the most common ones contain porcelain to resemble a natural tooth in both look and feel.
